State & Young Traffic Issues
Morgan residents have expressed concern regarding line-of-sight, difficulty in navigating the intersection and safety of pedestrians at the intersection of State and Young Street. In order for Morgan City to get a feel for how widespread this issue is and to log concerns we are asking for comments and suggestions from citizens who regularly use the intersection.

Does it make for more congestion when a football game gets over or a Rodeo. We shall see
I feel we have problems along state street especially within the city limits. Traffic entering state from the west-southwest of the city are having more and more difficulty. The problems are only going to get worse. I believe intersections with lights (4-way stops, or round-abouts) could allow traffic to flow more smoothly. I have noticed frustration from those making a left hand turn onto state street. Several times they have had to force themselves into the flow of traffic nearly causing accidents. I feel it would be much better for us to act rather than react.
